Students of the two universities attend a common training program in both countries. According to the curriculum, the study programme consists of one academic semester in each country and a period of at least three months for the completion of the thesis at the end of both semesters.
Students are required to attend eight (8) courses, 4 compulsory and 4 selective. Also, they can attend a subsidiary language course of Greek or French as a foreign language.
Among the four compulsory courses for all students, 2 courses are conducted at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and 2 courses at the University of Maine. Students are graded in 3 of the above 4 courses above (validation). The grades are given out of 10 in Greece and out of 20 in France. The conversion of the grades into the corresponding scale of the partner University is carried out based on the agreement of the examination committees in both countries. Regarding the remaining 4 elective courses, students are evaluated without grading (suivi) after consultation with the teachers in both Universities.
The courses are delivered in French and Greek with the possibility, occasionally, of the use of English. Therefore, in Greece, registered students at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki should have adequate knowledge of the French language (level B2). The study programme requires an internship (of 250 hours in Greece and France) and a thesis (of 80-100 pages), which are graded (out of 10 in Greece and out of 20 in France). The internship lasts at least 250 hours in total. First semester courses are conducted for all the students at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the semester starts at the beginning of October each year. During the second semester, courses are conducted in the University of Maine in France and start at the beginning of May each year.
